About the Event
Spend hours in your garden not really understanding what's going on with the soil or why your plants do so well for 3-6 months and then stop thriving? Soil is the starting place and so often overlooked. We will dig deep into soil (ha ha!) and learn how to identify what you have, why pH and soil structure is important to know and how to find this out yourself. We will then look at problem solving using a variety of methods and materials to bring your soil back to life including lasagne beds, Hugelkultur and various composting techniques. Attendees are invited to bring along their own soil samples in jars to do some testing during morning tea.
